Parking in the parking lot
Parking is available in the parking lot in front of the Welcome Building. Electric car charging is available at the Kulturhallen parking lot (right next to the Welcome Building parking lot).
Ticket purchase
To gain access to Spøttrup Borg, tickets must be purchased in the welcome building – these must be scanned at the entrance to the castle. It is free to visit our park, where you will find both our medicinal herb garden and playground. See prices here.
Dogs
Unfortunately, due to several reasons, dogs are not allowed in the castle itself. However, they are welcome in the welcome building and the rest of the area around the castle.

Food and drinks
Ice cream, water, snacks, coffee and sweet treats are available in the Welcome Building. You are also more than welcome to bring your own food. It is possible to order food and enjoy it on site, contact the staff for more information.

Playground
Come and try our new playground! Over the winter we built a brand new playground in true castle style. Bring the family and let your imagination run wild. There’s no charge to use our playground, but you can of course combine it with a ticket to the castle.

Guided tours
If you would like a guided tour of the castle, it’s easily possible! Our tour guides at Spøttrup Borg are all experienced, historically knowledgeable and happy to share their knowledge. Contact us at borgen@museumsalling.dk or 9915 3564 to book or read more about it here.

Hiking route around Spøttrup Lake
Take a 7 km hike through culture, nature and history around Spøttrup Castle. The route takes you around the beautiful lake, the impressive medieval castle, the medicinal herb garden, a bird tower overlooking the lake, the old Vestsalling Railway and the large fruit tree in Rødding. Along the way, you can visit the Peace Column – a sculpture commemorating peace in Denmark – and take a break at the shelter in the pomet. Read more and see the hiking route here.
