Monday, July 20 – Sunday, July 26
Step into the Middle Ages as Spøttrup Borg opens its gates for the Bishop’s Market — this time throughout the entire week 30! A whole week filled with living history, atmosphere, and experiences awaits both children and adults — and in 2026, the market will be bigger than ever before!
You can look forward to action and drama as the castle grounds are filled with knights and warriors. Throughout the week, you can experience knight tournaments, combat shows, and a grand battle reenactment — an impressive recreation of the Battle of Sankt Jørgens Berg, where the audience gets up close to medieval combat, tactics, and strength. Falconry displays, folk music, storytelling, jesters, and archery are also part of the week’s program.
World Championship in Medieval Martial Arts
As one of the absolute highlights of the week, the World Championship in Medieval Combat Sports takes over Spøttrup Borg from Thursday to Sunday in week 30. More than 1,000 battle-ready fighters from 28 countries around the world will gather here for intense clashes in full armor, where victory depends not only on raw strength, but also on technique, endurance, and determination. Visitors can experience the unique intensity up close as armor clashes, weapons strike, and the fight for victory unfolds before the castle’s historic walls.
Come and enjoy an unforgettable and truly unique experience at Spøttrup Borg – we look forward to welcoming you!

Information about Weekly tickets
Weekly tickets can be purchased through all of the ticket links below. A weekly pass is a great option if you plan to attend the market of the Bishop for more than two days. The pass is valid throughout week 30 and gives you complete flexibility: you can visit the market as often as you like and on whichever days suit you best — either consecutively or spread across the week. If you would like to join one of our guided tours of Spøttrup Borg during the week, you can select the ticket link for the relevant day and purchase both the guided tour and the weekly pass at the same time. Please note: the ticket must be scanned at the welcome building each day upon arrival.
