Borrowing
At the castle you can explore a real castle with moats, castle tower, knights’ hall and everything else that belongs to a real castle. The castle is partly furnished with furniture from around the first half of the 18th century.
The welcome building
In the welcome building you can experience an exhibition that tells the history of Spøttrup Castle and the people behind it, with a special focus on Bishop Jørgen Friis who completed the castle in the 1520s. The exhibition focuses on the turbulent times before and during the Reformation, when Denmark was plunged into civil war and the battle for both throne and faith raged.
